The location is excellent, at the exact centre of Budapest, with lots of public transportation options nearby, and generally anything you might need around it. It felt appropriate for shorter-term stays, where one would like to explore Budapest and be able to go around easily, but for longer-term stays or working from home for many hours, I would personally think that something more spacious and with a bit more natural light would be more appropriate. The host was very kind and accommodative. There were a few issues upon move-in, e.g. with the washing machine not working properly, but the host offered to address them promptly -- I guess these things can happen, if previous guests hadn't been using it or didn't report the issue.

The apartment is in an old and dilapidated building, and some of the home appliances are new. The washing machine didn't work from the beginning (flooding, interrupting mid-cycle), and it wasn't easy to communicate with the host, but in the end, we agreed on a rent discount for compensation. The house strongly smells of acrylic paint and old wood from the doors, and also the bathroom often had a bad odour coming from the sewers. Ok for the good position and for a few-day stays, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.

The owner is kind and willing. The house faces an internal courtyard, it is dark but quite warm in the winter we stayed and it is close to metro, train station and public transport stops. The house was unacceptable it took us three days and three people to clean it and bring it to a decent condition. The main light in the room was out of order, broken drawer, mold on both windows, dirt behind the oven in the kitchen……

I lived here for a month and a half and it’s an ok place, def somewhere you can like live but not great. The place is dirty (with dirty walls, roofs, bathroom, and furniture), it smells weird sometimes, beds are mounted on wooden planks, and it’s designed as a tourist place where it’s an apartment converted into multiple tiny rooms each with a key to it. It’s in the heart of the mainstream clubbing and bar scene in Budapest, so you will hear club music and drunk people entering and leaving clubs throughout the entire night. For similar reasons, the area isn’t the safest or cleanest - definitely not a picturesque neighborhood. The apartment building where this place is located is quite dated (with lights not working throughout the building) and dirty as well, and (probably because of the nearby clubs) you wake up to used condoms in your stairs every day… I mean I was able to live here for a month and a half without anything happening, but I also was sure to not leave the house alone after certain hours if I didn’t want to feel unsafe. Never really contacted the owners because all of these things are just intrinsic to the place itself and they couldn’t change anything. I would half recommend this place, but definitely would not recommend if you care about cleanliness, feeling safe, and looking for a more chill Budapest experience.

The apartment is in the centre, quite spacious, though all the furniture and the linen were rather old and worn. Besides , some kitchen equipment wasn't working, the shabby windows were risky to open, heating was possible only by air-conditioners, and there were some problems with water heating - the boiler (though we didn't find it in the apartment but I guess the water was heated by a boiler) was if insufficient capacity to let more than 1 person to take shower, the other had to wait until it's heated again. I can't say the host was very friendly but not hostile at the same time.

I recently stayed at Chillapartman property and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the washing machine which was promised in the listing was missing upon my arrival. The landlord did assure me that it would be installed within the first two weeks and also promised to reimburse my expenses for using a public laundry service. He didn't. This was a minor inconvenience, which I was initially willing to overlook. However, during my stay, the landlord repeatedly made requests for small favors. This ranged from picking up his bike from the street to photographing certain items within the apartment. These tasks were not what I expected to be responsible for as a guest. The real disruption began when the landlord decided to undertake construction work in the bathroom to install the washing machine. This lasted half a day, which was a significant inconvenience. Following this, he tried to convince me to pay for the machine's delivery using my personal details and account, a clear breach of my privacy. The tipping point came when, due to my commitments, I couldn’t fulfil one of his many requests. In response, he resorted to threats such as cutting off the internet and making deliberate construction noises in the kitchen, making it impossible to live peacefully. From that point on, I felt it necessary to only communicate with him through Flatio support to ensure my personal safety and security. In conclusion, I would not recommend staying at this property. While the apartment might be appealing on its surface, the landlord's behavior significantly detracted from my experience.

Advantages of the apartment: - location - spacious - big bed - the neighbors did not make any noise - all issues due to flatio have been resolved - very fast internet Of the cons: - it was dirty and cold when we arived (this was compensated by an additional day of stay) - washing machine on the first floor - there is a gas cylinder (but I think it is dangerous in the apartment) - unreliable lock in the entrance door - in the winter, if you rent and it would be warm, then investing in 25% is unrealistic. Because the heating is electric. - the owner demanded daily electricity reports for the first months. - the kettle is old (needs to be replaced) - the refrigerator makes noise In general, I recommend renting the apartment in the warm season.

Old apartment and in poor condition, smaller than it appears in the ad photos. When I arrived, the food from the previous tenants was still in the refrigerator and furniture. The owner wanted to charge me an exorbitant and unfair price for some tiny damage to the paint on a wall that was already quite deteriorated. Piso antiguo y en malas condiciones, más pequeño de lo que aparece en las fotos del anuncio. Cuando llegué seguía la comida de los antiguos arrendadores en el frigorífico y muebles. La propietaria quiso cobrarme un precio desorbitado e injusto por unos daños minúsculos en la pintura de una pared que ya estaba bastante deteriorada.

The apartment is quite small and requires renovation. It is on the 0 floor with a small window which goes to the yard. There are almost no sunlights here. The sofa on the first floor is really bad - lots of blots and has a strong smell of naphthalene. It was unpleasant even to touch it. The Bed's mattress is full of blots. Bad smells appear in the apartment all the time. Kitchen and bathroom furniture is Ok. The landlord is easy to communicate with and helpful.

Although the flat had some issues the owner's mother and the localisation of the appartment made our stay somewhat pleasant and enjoyable.

The apartment is okay for the stay but definitely not great for people who need a higher temperature. + Fast and smooth communication + Cooking + Great position + Comfortable bed + Large shower + 2 WCs + Big bathroom with lots of places for stuff There is only floor heating, it is not working everywhere (the kitchen is really cold!) and if you want to raise the temperature in the room, you have to turn the heating on for a long time at a high temperature. Chairs are bad if you need to work, they make you sit really badly due to their shape. There is not enough light (only 1 window for both floors).

It was a good place to stay close to the center, lots of bars and restaurants close by. We had a situation in the apartment, the sink faucet was old and stop working flooding the bathroom, Andrea took care of it, but it wasn't really confortable to be there while it happened.

The place was well located and had all the amenities. We arrived to a place that you could tell hadn’t been cleaned for a while (dust and cobwebs in many places) but overall we were satisfied with the experience. Though during our stay we were satisfied with communication with our landlady, after checkout we were met with abuse for allegedly living in squalor and being dirty people according to photos of incredibly minor smudges from cleaning products. We raised no issues when arriving ourselves to a place that appeared not to have been thoroughly cleaned with dust, cobwebs, less than clean baking trays, and black mould in the washing machine, so we sorted these problems ourselves. The landlady’s abuse after checkout from a long stay, in an apparent attempt to extort a €50 cleaning fee from us, was unacceptable and I would encourage anyone to think very carefully about renting here. It appears from reading other reviews this is not the first time this has happened to tenants here. Be prepared to take photos of everything on arrival and before departure, and otherwise deal with a less than understanding landlady.

The apartment is clean, but the air conditioning doesn't work. The shower is clogged.

This accommodation did not have all the necessary equipment, it is marked on the advert for 8 people only we were 4 and that was just right. There were major problems with the upstairs neighbour, the owner did little to change this.

Good house and conditions.

The apartment is located in a convenience location, with easy access to public transport. It is opposite of the night club, therefore during weekend nights is louder. The apartment looked like on pictures, however the main entrance and staircase is bad conditions and dirty, there was no light in a corridor. The apartment was clean except bathtub, floor in the bathroom and shower handle. I was missing extra lamp to work, clock and kettle, but a kettle has been provided to me. I have never met the Landlady, and we have only exchanged text messages. She instructed me well how to get in to the apartment and checked if I'm ok. The Landlady has not provided me with a handover document, that is described in the contract and I regret I have not asked for. On my departure I cleaned the apartment, however when I left, it appeared that cleaning is not meeting the Landlady expectations. She sent me an extra invoice, despite the fact, we have never discussed or agreed extra payments for cleaning services. I paid to close this discussion but it was disappointing experience and I took learning for future. I hope other people are more experienced so I wish them happy stay.

The apartment was not the one I was meant to have. Despite signing a contract the apartment i should have rented was sublet to someone else on the presumption that I wasn't arriving. I had mentioned I didn't know if conditions at the airport would be favourable for Brits but at no time did I say we would not be arriving and the rent was paid in advance. Also, a few weeks later, despite there being a thermostat in the property that I could have worked out myself, when I asked how to turn it up I was asked for more money despite not being told this in the beginning. I said that was not in the contract. Also, about a week before leaving I was asked if someone else, the future tenant could come view the property. I said that both myself and my daughter had a nasty cold and weren't up to it. Again, despite this we were asked several times. On leaving we were asked again about extra money for the heating and the thermostat was never turned up anyway. So, overall, unless you want to deal with a tricky landlord, I'd give this one a miss.

The apartment is cool and very spacious. The furniture is good, but a bit older. The location is great! Unfortunately, it is a bit louder in the building in the morning. The hostess is very nice and accommodating.
