Disgusting apartment from day one: mold on the walls, filthy toilet and shower, dirty kitchen, unusable oven. Nothing was as advertised, everything was filthy. The host doesn’t respond, refuses any refund, and denies the obvious. And worst of all, don’t count on Flatio: the platform protects the host instead of helping the tenant. Avoid at all costs.

Julie knew about a large re-constuction job happening in the flat directly above us. It went on everyday all day even the weekends!! When we asked Julie about she said that it was to be completed 2 weeks before our arrival and there was nothing she could do and would continue till mid September! We tried to find another place but everything in our budget and even beyond was booked, even with help of a Flatio rep. The flat itself was lacking TLC the bathroom has stains in the shower and broken vanity, the fridge didn't keep our items cold and the washing machine made all of our clothes super hard. We thought it was the hard water but, now we now live in our flat just a few streets away and our laundry comes out soft. But the worst thing was that NONE of the window locked and had no striping. So, we heard everything that was happening outside all the time.

We booked this apartment for a month expecting a quiet and peaceful place, as stated in the listing. However, we didn’t realize that the neighbor was practicing to become a DJ and played loud techno music. During the first week, this happened three times, starting as early as 10 AM. The noise was especially loud in the bedroom because the neighbor always kept the window open, and the entire wall vibrated due to the music. When we informed the owner about this issue, he responded only after several days. Despite that, the neighbor continued playing music, sometimes until 10 PM ( the owner was aware of the neighbor’s DJ practice because he told us himself). We also discovered that the wall separating us from the next neighbors was very thin, like paper (it looked like it was one apartment that they divided into two using a thin wall). We could clearly hear noises from washing machines, shower, and running taps, which made sleeping very difficult. Throughout our stay, we did not get a good night’s sleep even once. The owner always responded very late, and eventually, we had to leave and find another place, which was very challenging in the middle of summer. Communication with the owner was minimal and complicated. We definitely cannot recommend this place. It is falsely advertised as quiet, but it is impossible to get any rest there. We travel all the time and rent apartments, but this was our worst experience.

Awful experience, the day I moved in I was told the hot water wasn’t working correctly, 5 weeks later when I moved out it still wasn’t working. On multiple occasions the landlord ignored me reaching out with issues and when she did finally respond it was always to blame me for the problems 😂 I really enjoyed Budapest but the attitude of this landlord makes me want to tell everyone I know never to come here. Very disrespectful and rude, she talked to me like I was a child infront of other people. Just an overall terrible experience. I do not recommend.

The house was problematic because of a working site on the road and especially on the building facade. The house delivered was not matching the one of the original agreement. The owner was very collaborative fixing my contract, however the refund has not been placed

My wife, our small children, and I arrived at the apartment and discovered the next day a loud noise coming through the wall because renovation work had started. The host did not warn us about this. I immediately messaged him, but the noise continued every day for two weeks. The children were constantly crying and we couldn’t stay in the apartment comfortably, so we had to spend time outside. I asked them to find a solution, but they told me, “Sorry, we have no free apartments,” even though this is an agency and I could see other listings on their site. The air conditioner didn’t work at all—it leaked onto the sofa—so we were stuck in a stifling room. Giant cockroaches ran around the apartment and we had to kill them constantly. The window screens were in poor condition, so mosquitoes bit us at night. We had to turn to Flatio for help—many thanks to them! Flatio found us another apartment at a lower price where everything is great. This apartment is awful and not worth the money.

Mi experiencia en este alojamiento ha sido muy insatisfactoria por diversos motivos que considero importantes señalar: En primer lugar, el piso presentaba una evidente falta de limpieza general. Había una acumulación considerable de polvo en todas las estancias, especialmente en la alfombra y la cortina, lo cual me provocó una fuerte reacción alérgica durante varios días, lo que afectó gravemente mi estancia. En segundo lugar, el anuncio indicaba la existencia de un sofá cama, pero al llegar comprobé que únicamente había una cama montable, lo que constituye una información engañosa. Asimismo, el baño se encontraba en malas condiciones de higiene, con telarañas y arañas visibles en el techo. Este detalle resulta inadmisible y denota una clara dejadez en el mantenimiento del alojamiento. En cuanto a los electrodomésticos, todos presentaban un estado de suciedad considerable. La nevera no funcionaba correctamente y goteaba constantemente, mientras que el lavavajillas tampoco funcionaba de manera adecuada. Por último, durante los fines de semana, el nivel de ruido procedente de un bar cercano fue excesivo, con música alta y aglomeraciones de personas en la calle hasta altas horas de la madrugada, lo que imposibilitaba el descanso. En definitiva, no recomendaría este alojamiento y considero que la información proporcionada en el anuncio no se corresponde con la realidad.

This was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve had. The host, Furkan, maintains an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment, made worse by the excessive number of passive-aggressive signs plastered all over the apartment dictating everything from how and when you can eat, clean, or even use the fridge. There were unreasonable rules like not being allowed to wash dishes or use the washing machine after 9 PM because it was “his bedtime” — even though you could clearly hear him watching TV and moving around upstairs until 1 AM. He also claimed guests shouldn’t order food after 10 PM to avoid disturbing neighbors, yet neighbors were active and receiving deliveries well past midnight. Basic amenities were falsely advertised. The listing mentioned a fan and access to a terrace, neither of which were actually available. I had to buy my own fan and was later told the terrace was off-limits, despite it being written in the house rules that it was allowed. He seems to selectively enforce and change the rules depending on who the guest is. The kitchen was under-equipped — there were only a couple of usable utensils and at one point we had to share a single fork between two people because the others mysteriously “disappeared.” He also made petty complaints when we used a tiny bit of shared oil, despite us regularly sharing our food with him and each other. Worse than the pettiness, the host behaved inappropriately. I was meeting with a real estate agent to view apartments (a short-term stay was the only reason I booked this place), and before we left, the agent asked to use the bathroom. After that, the situation took a very uncomfortable turn. I went upstairs visibly distressed and on the verge of a panic attack, hoping Furkan would help or ask the man to leave, but instead, he showed zero empathy and immediately locked all his doors, as if I were the problem. He also regularly ignored messages and then lied about not having his phone, even though he had an AirPod in and his phone could be heard buzzing nearby under the couch. I wouldn’t be surprised if Furkan leaves a negative review in retaliation for this, but future renters deserve to know the truth. This listing should not be allowed to remain on Flatio. It’s misleading, restrictive, and feels more like a monitored trap than a welcoming rental. Avoid at all costs.

house has cockroaches. one day I woke up with 3 in my bedroom. host said they can't do much about it. I am a young girl and was looking for digital nomad vibes, to work with other young like minded people but the only people coming and going the whole time were old, unclean men. for a month long, my whole stay. which made me feel uncomfortable and I didn't enjoy living in a dirty old men dominated place as a 26 year old. probably not what you're looking for if you want to rent long term as a young female digital nomad. there were some small wifi and water issues for a short time but the host was very responsive to these issues and they were rapidly solved.

If you enjoy being treated like an unwanted guest in a stranger’s over-decorated storage unit, this is the rental for you. From the moment I moved in, I was met with broken fixtures, dirty appliances, and personal belongings stuffed into nearly every drawer and cabinet, leaving me nowhere to unpack. When I brought up basic expectations—like functional lighting or a working doorbell—I was met with dismissiveness, condescension, and outright hostility. Alexandra made it painfully clear she saw the apartment as hers and me as some temporary inconvenience paying 30,000 crowns per month for the privilege of being ignored. When I requested actual solutions, I was told things like, “You don’t need that much space,” and “If you don’t like it, just leave.” So I did - I left. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place, avoid this owner, and avoid the stress. You’re renting an apartment, not entering a psychological endurance test.

2 stars. Firstly I enjoyed my 2 month stay in Albufeira away from the UK winter, just what I needed after 3 years of cancer treatment. However I’m afraid on arrival at the property I was disappointed in the condition also there is a lot of traffic noise but one gets used to that in time. There is a very useful and well stocked supermarket very close and in walking distance also there is a very pleasant park walk that leads down to the shops and restaurants and also the beach all being only a mile away. On entering the property via the gate and proceeding up the drive there are many broken floor tiles that are a health and safety issue not only for the elderly. The outside walls are very dirty and could do with repairing and painting as the property is letting down the area as neighbouring properties are well looked after. There was an outside lamp hanging down over the patio doors with bare wires exposed, maintenance did respond immediately when I pointed the danger to them. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms but neither doors close also the bathroom door doesn’t close. The upstairs landing light does not work. In the kitchen there are saucepans with handles that are almost falling off so could be very dangerous carrying hot liquids. Laminate on cupboards and draws is peeling off. The property is very rundown with paint peeling off the internal walls in many places and cracked tiles. The kitchen sink plug is the wrong size. No plugs for bathroom or downstairs cloakroom sinks. Fridge light not working. All that can be said of the BBQ is disgusting. I was told a gardener would come once a week but he came only once in 2 months so garden not looking good. The potential for this property is very good, it just needs looking after.

When I arrived in Porto, the host took forever to meet me and then brought me to an apartment that was completely different from the one I had signed the lease on. Bigger, yes, but much less liveable (undecorated, no view or natural light, constant noise from the lobby one floor below). It was the same building, but his flat was not clean, the bed was broken and there was no surface for me to work at. Before I pointed this out to him, there was no apology or explanation on his part. Then, to his credit, he brought me a mini-desk and chair, and the bed was fixed (although the latter took 4 weeks). Throughout this process though, I felt increasingly uncomfortable as he repeatedly asked me out for drinks and inquired after my lovelife. At one point, he decided to show me the apartment upstairs (the one I was paying for); my heart broke when I entered the bright, cozy room I'd fallen in love with online. Assuming he was providing me with an option - why else would he show me? - I asked if there was any way I could switch, maybe just for part of the 6 weeks I was staying in Porto, but he told me this was not possible. Resigning myself to the situation, I started pimping the space I was assigned (buying candles and plants), and asked if he'd consider giving me a discount instead. Suddenly, he became very cold with me and said I was welcome to find accomodation elsewhere. I couldn't - not on such short notice and with my budget - which he know, of course. So I made my peace with my big, cold apartment, the shower that only provided about 8 minutes of warm water, the broken freezer and power outages. When the coffee machine stopped working halfway through my stay, I was not surprised that the host made no effort to have it fixed or replaced. I will say this for the flat: you can't beat that location. I ended up having a wonderful time in Porto, but no thanks to this host. I truly believe he means well, but this is no way to treat people who pay good money for their stay and depend on you to make them feel comfortable and safe.

Property was in ok condition. The building and surrounding area was not. Trash and debris all around, looking from deck, derelict cars and trash. Front "security" door was always open. The walls, hallways and elevator were in poor, very used condition. Loud and angry neighbors. Etc.

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. Two days before my move-in date, I was informed that there was an issue with the house I booked. They told me they would arrange an alternative room for me. The house I originally booked was supposed to have sunlight and a balcony, but the replacement room had neither of those features, which was clearly a downgrade. They never mentioned anything about compensation; I was simply "informed" about this arrangement. They only mentioned compensation after I chased them down, and even then, I had to send multiple emails to get any details. When I finally moved in, I was told that some workers needed to fix something, but I was never given a clear explanation of what the issue was or what was being fixed. To this day, I'm still unclear on how they are handling it. This whole experience has been completely disappointing and stressful. Renting a house from them actually has totally destroyed my mood for my work trip.

I’ve traveled the world extensively (not staying in hotels) so I didn’t have any expectations like that) my issues relate to privacy. There are windows into the shared bathroom from an adjacent room that looks directly to the shower. All other windows similar (into bedrooms) are painted but not the bathroom??? The room was not spacious as described. No bigger than a normal single bedroom. Plus a host of other privacy concerns. I believe the host to have entered my ‘locked’ room when I wasn’t there.

Ubytování katastrofa, byt extrémě smrděl, bylo tam asi 150kytek, paní si nějaké odvezla, ale stejně tam nechala květiny ve skleničkách s vodou která smrděla a ten smrad nešel vyvětrat a špatně se tam dýchalo, peřiny a polštáře byly celé flekaté, jako kdyby nechci říkat od čeho, na vyžádání zašlu fotografie, vše mám nafocené. Za byt jsem zaplatila 15tis na 2 týdny, ale spala tam 1 noc díky těmto okolnostem. Radím vám všem, neplaťte si toto ubytování, za tu cenu to nestojí, musela jsem také na vlastní náklady nechat zatuchlou sedící soupravu. Navíc tam ani není TV, pouze strašně moc obrazů a květin, to ani na propagačních fotkách není vidět, ale když zaplatíte a přijdete na byt, tak se nestačíte divit. Katastrofa

The owner was sweet but The room was too dusty, the shower is basically you showering on top of the toilet and risking the whole house to flood, didn’t have any space in the fridge, so i basically just stayed kinda my whole stay outside, couldn’t even sleep there cause of how dusty it is, it said i have my own entrance, which is also not true, and basically no privacy and no key to the room i was in so I didn’t feel safe.

Jakub was the most unpleasant host. Everything was fine besides the cheap build of the apartment. On check-out, there were a few minor issues which he tried to charge me €3,000.00+ for - basically tried to steal from me. On top of that, I was notified from another tenant that the neighboring apartment had a bedbug infestation. I was extremely worried during my entire stay that it would spread to the unit I was staying in. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. LANDLORD'S REPLY: Christopher did not vacate the apartment properly. He left some of his belongings behind, failed to clean it before leaving, broke my vacuum cleaner and drying rack, and caused stains and damage to the walls and curtains. Cleaning and repairing the apartment after he left cost me more than CZK 25,000. Additionally, I had to cancel the new tenant who was supposed to rent the apartment after him. There was never any issue with bedbugs in the apartment. The interior was designed by an architect, and most of the furniture and equipment were custom-made.

So the main issue was the fridge was not working and couldnt use the kitchen. I told the problem but noone cared about it.

I stayed there with family one kid and two adults.The house is not T1 or T2 it is actually t0 which was tried converted in t2. The rooms has no door as there are very tiny rooms no space for doors additionally there is no door to toilet even. I had very bad experience. Not recommended for family but yes for only for one person. You can go there if you have car because it is village area no uber or bolt works there.

This is a ground floor single-sided apartment that has all its windows and a glass door facing a shared enclosed outdoor space which is its only means of ventilation. Two active car dealer garages form the remaining three sides of the outdoor space and have numerous windows opening onto it. Oil and exhaust fumes can be smelled in the enclosed space. There is also little privacy since the garage windows directly face the apartment, there are no curtains and the glass door does not have an exterior shutter. The only way to access the shared outdoor space from the building is through this apartment. The apartment has an alarm system with a detector in the living room pointing towards the glass door. The ad's photos of the living area are old and do not show it. There is a locked space in the apartment the host uses as private storage. The ad's old photos show this space open to the living room. We did not stay in the apartment.

Total local of communication from landlord. Apartment was dirty and covered in dog hair. Curtains in the living room had been ripped off and shoved into a closet, therefore there were no curtains. Apartment is lacking in cooking implants and what is there is mostly broken. Essentially no bedding is provided and what is there is inadequate. Not the landlords fault, but the upstairs neighbour is very noisy making it difficult to sleep. The apartment is run down and it feels that landlords don’t care and are just trying to make money. I feel it is far too expensive for what you get. I do not recommend this apartment or landlord.
