Thankfully, the cleaning staff noticed us, checked our documents, contacted their supervisors, and managed to find a vacant apartment for us. We’re very grateful for their help — especially since we had small children and it was already late, so finding another place would have been almost impossible.
Unfortunately, the apartment we were given was much smaller and in worse condition than the one we had originally booked. The manager didn’t offer any compensation for the difference, never apologized, and made no effort to take responsibility for what happened.
