My name is Tess.

A travel soul born I the south of France, After many years of traveling the world, I chose to settle in Tenerife, where I created my own oasis Gurugu.

Gurugu is a historic home with soul, located in the north of the island. It is much more than a house to me — it is a place I have carefully restored and nurtured with intention, respect, and love. My vision was to create a space where people can truly feel at home, slow down, and reconnect with what matters.

Over time, I have welcomed guests from all over the world, and what I value most is creating an atmosphere based on trust, clarity, and mutual respect. I take great care of the house, and I appreciate guests who do the same — treating it not simply as a rental, but as a living space to be respected and enjoyed.

Gurugu is especially suited for those who are looking for a calm, elegant and inspiring environment — whether to work remotely, rest, or share meaningful moments together.

Depending on the time of year, I also host guests individually through what I call the “Gurugu Residency” — a more immersive experience centered around living, connecting, and creating together.

I am always happy to share local recommendations, assist when needed, and ensure your stay is smooth, comfortable and aligned with the spirit of the house.
