My name is Kristin, though everyone calls me Sloan. My husband Doug and I have been hosting guests for over ten years. We run a small collection of properties in the Catskills in New York, and this is our first apartment in Porto.
I came to hospitality from design. I spent years as a creative director in New York, including directing new media for New York City Ballet after a career as a dancer there, and that shapes how we approach a space. We care about how a place feels to live in, not just how it photographs.
We moved to Porto with our son and live in Foz, about fifteen minutes away, so I'm easy to reach if anything comes up. I know what it's like to arrive somewhere new and try to get set up, and I'm happy to share whatever is helpful as you get settled.
